Brewster Subaru Tire Center

Brewster Subaru Tire Center

Many people just take their tires for granted. Although an important part of the vehicle, people often do not realize that their tires needs love too, and that there are different kinds of tires for different kinds of driving. At Brewster Subaru, our experts know their way around every part of a Subaru, and that includes the tires.

Do you know what makes winter tires different from summer tires? Are all-season tires good enough for your vehicle? What size tires does your vehicle take? Is there enough tread on your tires? Our tire experts know the answer to all this and more. No matter how you drive, your tires will experience different wear. The weight of the car is not perfectly distributed, meaning each tire has different amounts of pressure. The front tires also used for steering, and braking puts even more weight on the front tires. Driving with tires at different level of wear can be dangerous, which is why tire rotation is so important. Regular tire rotation will help evenly distribute wear, and will greatly extend the life of your tires.

Taking care of your tires is a vital part of taking care of your car. The experts in our service center will help you keep your Subaru running smoothly for years to come. We use only authentic Subaru parts at Brewster Subaru, because we believe that all Subaru vehicles deserve nothing but the best.

The Importance of Good Tires

The area where your tires actually contact the road is very small, sometimes no bigger than the size of your hand. This makes it all the more important that they have a safe amount of tread life and are in good condition. Properly functioning tires are key for safety, performance and ride quality.

What's a four-wheel alignment?

Simply, a four-wheel alignment uses sophisticated lasers and sensors to determine the wheel angles of your Subaru. If the computer detects that they are out of alignment - according to specifications - our factory trained technicians make the proper adjustments to bring them back into alignment.

Having your car aligned - especially when you have new tires installed - will help promote tire longevity. Poor road conditions and daily driving can cause misalignment over time. If you've felt vibrations or your vehicle pulling to one side, a wheel alignment may correct those concerns.

Ever notice this light before?

TPMS Light

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Light

If the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light comes on and stays lit while you drive, it is warning you that low tire pressure has been detected in one or more of your tires (excluding the spare). Tire pressure can drop when the weather changes from hot to cold, but it will also decrease if you have an air leak. You can check the pressure yourself. Watch this video about checking the tire pressure on your Subaru.

Remember, a flashing tire light may mean there is a malfunction with the TPMS system or a damaged sensor. You can bring your Subaru to our service center if you have a concern, and we can take care of that light for you.
