Power and Performance

The new Subaru Crosstrek includes a variety of engine options. The Special Edition, Base, and Premium are powered by a 2.0-liter SUBARU BOXER® four-cylinder engine that produces up to 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission. Still, you can upgrade to the available continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). This engine has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of up to 28 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

The Sport and Limited trims come equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers up to 182 horsepower, 176 pound-feet of torque and has an EPA-estimated fuel economy of up to 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. This engine is also paired with a CVT.

Meanwhile, the Crosstrek Hybrid trim combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors to produce up to 148 horsepower and an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of up to 90 MPGe. Plus, you'll have access to up to 17 miles range in EV mode.
