Subaru Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Limited Edition Cars

2018 marks the 50th year since Subaru first entered the North American auto market. Understandably wanting to celebrate the occasion, the manufacturer recently announced special limited edition anniversary models of all of its current car lineup.

Unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show at the beginning of February, the limited-edition models will come in an exclusive "Heritage Blue" exterior color and will package in the high-level trim offerings of their normal models. There will be anniversary models released for all of Subaru's current vehicles, including the Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, WRX STI, and BRZ.

The anniversary Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy and Outback will enjoy a release of 1,050 each. The WRX STI and BRZ, meanwhile, will see combined release of 1,050 units. In addition to their Heritage Blue paintjob, they'll also come with a special 50th Anniversary emblem and a unique satin chrome finish. Some models will enjoy even more special features like alloy wheels on the BRZ. These anniversary vehicles will start at $30,800 with the BRX and peak at $42,055 with the WRX STI.

Outside of this anniversary, it's understandable why Subaru might feel like celebrating. The automaker has enjoyed ten years of consistent growth with its sales growing at a fast pace. Its vehicles are widely considered by many drivers and critical outlets to be some of the most valuable available on the market today.
